The Joy in Singing Music Camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 10-14 at the Fisher Chapel Church, located a quarter-mile on the road to Rippling Waters, Sissonville.
A closing program will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 16. Attendance at the closing program is not mandatory.
Instructors will include: Kathy Silber (keyboard), Terri Taylor (keyboard), Caleb Korth (guitar and ukulele), Jagur Smith (assistant guitar), Jane Buchanan (Orff instruments), Rita Douglas (vocals and musical), Kim Miller (lesson attached to the musical that will be learned, “Sonseekers Nation Vacation”), Bethany Scarberry (choreographer), Kylee Casto (assistant choreographer) and Andrew Hupp (recreation).
Children will attend all sessions daily.
The camp is open to children in grades one through seven.
The cost is $25 per child. The registration fee covers partially the cost for all camp supplies, a T-shirt, entrance to the Boone County Water Park, lunch and a snack every day and the instruction of 10 teachers.
“Our goal is to spark an interest in each child to pursue music in some format and to foster the growth of future church musicians,” said Joyce Good-Pitchford.
