Master Homeowner Workshops offered

Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha and Putnam will host a pair of upcoming Master Homeowner Workshops.

From 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, structural engineer Sam Wood of Advance Home Inspections will lead the “Foundation Movement – Recognition, Causes & Repairs” workshop, at the Habitat for Humanity Homeowner Education & Community Center, 815 Court St., Charleston.

At 8 a.m. Saturday, July 22, the “Repurpose, Reuse, Refurbish!” workshop will be held at the HHECC. Rich Chapman will lead the workshop, demonstrating how to refurbish good, old, solid wood or upholstered furniture using special paint, tips, tricks and guidance. Bring your own small piece of furniture; Chapman will supply the tools and materials.
