Sips & Sweets coming to East End
The East End Bazaar-Open-Air Artisan Market will host Sips & Sweets, from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at 1428 Washington St., E., in Charleston.
The community potable- and sweets-tasting event will include more than 30 East Coast wines, 10 wineries, one cidery and one mazery found along the Appalachian Trail.
Sips & Sweets will also include a bake-off among 10 area home bakers. Each baker will create a special dessert paired to a selected Chateau Morrisette Blackberry wine and subsequently be judged by a panel of four wine and sweets experts. The winning bakery will receive an award created by an East End Bazaar artisan. Attendees will vote for their fan-favorite dessert, which will receive a special award.
