Kanawha Valley Doll & Miniature Club hosting luncheon, sale in St. Albans
The Kanawha Valley Doll and Miniature Club is hosting the annual the Tri-State Doll luncheon and sale May 5 and 6 in St. Albans.
This year’s event, “Treasured Memories,” starts with a Cinco de Mayo dinner Friday, May 5, at First Presbyterian Church of St. Albans. A local Shirley Temple doll collector will give a presentation.
Angela’s On the River will provide the luncheon Saturday, May 6, in the Historic Chilton House. The doll sale will be open to the public from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Kanawha Terrace.
Doll clubs from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky will be there to discuss topics from doll artists and industry innovations, to antique dolls and their preservation. A silent auction is another highlight of the annual event. This year’s doll sale features a doll doctor, as well as vendors of antique and modern collectibles.
For more information about the sale or doll collecting, contact KVDC at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club meets at 2 p.m. on the third Sunday of most months at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kanawha Boulevard and Elizabeth Street, Charleston.
